World Economic Forum founder to attend WPRF

World Economic Forum Founder and Executive Chairman Dr. Klaus Schwab will present the capstone commentary, “A Post-Crisis Approach to Corporate Responsibility” at the World Public Relations Forum in Stockholm June15th.

Dr. Schwab, known worldwide as the creator and sustainer of the World Economic Forum, has for decades built WEF in Davos, Switzerland into the global partnership of business, political and intellectual leaders www.weforum.org

He has also pioneered the development of “stakeholder theory”, which he described in a recent Wall Street Journal commentary as considering “the enterprise as a community with a number of stakeholders – in other words, social groups that are directly and indirectly connected to the enterprise and that are dependent on its success and prosperity. These groups include employees, customers, suppliers, the state and especially the society in which the enterprise is active.”

John Paluszek, senior counsel at Ketchum, and chair of The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, which is co-sponsoring the WPRF with GA-member association Swedish Public Relations Association, hailed Dr. Schwab’s planned commentary:

“We are, of course, honored to provide Dr. Schwab this opportunity to present his advanced views on dialogue and partnership leading to social harmony in this era of fast-evolving communication technology and voices. In effect, the Stockholm WPRF, by examining the practical aspects of stakeholder relations, will represent something of a corollary to the seminal World Economic Forum conferences that have long increased global understanding and collaboration.”
